Empowering Mentors for Impact: St Philip's Teaching School Launches Their Mentor Framework

To shape quality Christian teachers, we at St Philip's Teaching School (SPTS) recognised the need to form well-equipped, supported, and resourced mentors. After a year of research, reflection and development, we launched our Mentor Formation Framework with supporting resources.

The St Philip's Teaching School team equipped 50 Mentors and Teaching School Coordinators with the tools to guide and support the formation of Christian teachers. The team looks forward to meeting with our regional school mentors in the coming weeks.

The day was filled with guided reflection, helping mentors identify strengths and areas for growth. We also gathered valuable insights to shape future training, ensuring ongoing development and support. Breakout sessions provided deeper dives into the Mosaic Tool and Reflective Practice, fostering meaningful discussions on mentorship in action and the formation of Christian teachers.

Beyond the learning, it was a joy to come together as a community — to encourage, challenge, and grow alongside one another. Mentorship is not just about equipping others but also about being shaped ourselves, and we value the shared wisdom and support that make this village so strong.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated — your dedication is shaping the future of Christian Education.
