Within the service-learning experiences, you'll find opportunities to reflect on the principles of intercultural understanding, exploring both the barriers and supports that shape our global community.  You will emerge from this adventure with a deeper understanding of the world and the tools to navigate it with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and teamwork. Learning Outcomes

  1. Develop cultural awareness of designated country including some basic language, literature, history, geography and cultural studies
  2. Visit designated country and participate in activities with non-government organisations in that country, participating in service, practicing sensitivity, and acquiring understanding of other perspectives while engaging with members of the community
  3. Illustrate service-learning experiences, highlighting service-learning principles from a personal perspective but also acknowledging how others may see the exchange differently
  4. Explain some of the barriers and supports that influence intercultural understanding
