Mr Paul Wellham - Head of Saints Academy
I am excited to lead the way for this wonderful new venture. Having been a staff member at St Philip’s Christian College for almost 20 years, the last six of these as the Head of our Junior School at SPCC Newcastle, I have extensive experience in early years education, Christian integration in the classroom, outdoor education, leadership and culture building. I have completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and hold a Bachelor of Teaching (PDHPE). I am married to Hannah and we have three daughters who all attend SPCC Newcastle. We are passionate about the vision and mission of St Philip’s Christian College and seeing young people given the opportunity to experience the very best educational journey which supports them for the Whole of Their Life.
I envision that Saints Academy will become a place of outstanding experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom, not only allowing for the development of strengths and gifts for the children, but providing high-quality care concurrently.
We are excited by this new venture and we look forward to sharing further about the vision of the Academy in 2023.
