Junior School Classroom Teacher - Kindergarten to Year Four

St Philip’s Christian College Gosford is a rapidly growing learning community, striving to provide quality education in a caring and secure learning environment based on Christian beliefs, values and practice. We are currently seeking appropriately qualified applicant to fill a Junior School Classroom Teacher (Kindergarten to Year Four) role.

We therefore seek Christians who are professionally and personally committed to bringing their Biblically based beliefs, values and practices to this ministry of supporting Christian Education.

The Classroom Teacher Kindergarten to Year Four is responsible for:

  • Teaching students from Kindergarten to Year Six according to NSW Syllabus.
  • Programming, teaching and assessing students to comply with NESA standards and following the Scope and Sequence planned by the school.
  • Supporting the academic, spiritual, physical and emotional wellbeing and ongoing development of students in their care.
  • Differentiating to cater for all student needs in the classroom.
  • Reporting to parents and meeting with them to provide ongoing feedback on student progress.
  • Providing active supervision of students in their care at all times.
  • Communicating with parents, through both formal and informal processes.
  • Organisation and administration related to class or grade.

  • Participating in staff meetings and other events as required.

    You will be required to carry out other duties that are within the limits of your skills, competence, training and/or experience as directed by the Head of Junior School or the College Principal.
