Vocational Education and Training

Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Vocational Education and Training (VET) provides skills and qualifications for all types of employment. VET Courses not only appeal to the interests and aptitudes of young people, they also reflect the realities of the job market and its shifting demands for skills and training.

HSC Vet courses are intended to broaden the range of curriculum offerings and provide our students with an alternative pathway to work and further education.

VET Courses offered:

  • Automotive (external RTO, delivered on site)
  • Business (external RTO, delivered on site)
  • Construction
  • Electrotechnology
  • Fitness
  • Hospitality
  • Primary Industries

With each VET course studied, students are required to complete 70 hours of mandatory work placement over the two-year course.

Enrolment into the Course is not the primary or sole requirement to gain full Qualification. Units of competencies, both practically based and theoretical, if not achieved or commenced after delivery date, may mean a statement of attainment will be awarded. This means a full qualification status may not be achieved.
